How to use the staff portal

Sign in with your OneTutor Google account. Your dashboard shows your current pay run, students and lessons at a glance, plus any announcements from the team. Here is what each tool does and a few rules worth knowing.

How a lesson reaches your timesheet

The timesheet is not a place you type lessons into. A lesson only appears there once it has gone through these steps:

  1. Schedule it. Book the lesson on the Schedule page, then remind the student to pay via the client portal so they can take the lesson. Lessons cannot be added straight to the timesheet. Lessons are strictly forbidden to be taken until they show Paid on your portal.
  2. The student pays. Their credit covers the lesson automatically, and it then shows Paid on your schedule.
  3. Teach the lesson. Only once it shows Paid. You then complete it after it has actually taken place.
  4. Mark it complete on the Schedule page (fill in the subject, topic and feedback). It now appears on your Timesheet, which records your pay and lets you add the lesson summary and homework.

The tools

🕒
Timesheet
Your record of completed lessons, and where you write each lesson's summary and homework. Lessons show up here only after you mark them complete; you cannot add one directly. See "How a lesson reaches your timesheet" above.
📅
Schedule
Book upcoming lessons for your students, and mark each one complete here once it has taken place. Every booking is charged to the student's credit automatically and shows as Paid when covered.
